    Rapidshare limits each user to a certain amount of downloading per day based on the users IP address.
    Therefore by changing your IP address simply means...
    >> avoiding massive COUNTDOWNS telling how long you'll have to wait to renew download link.
    If you have 10-20 parts of 100MB to download from RapidShare, it will give you more than 60secs to wait!

    // for now, you must make a copy of your IP address
    // if you don't know your IP visit http://www.whatismyip.com/
    // so, how do you change your IP address?

    1.)
    ----------------------------------------------
    // clear your browser cookies.
    // run COMMAND PROMPT
    start >> run >> cmd.exe
    // Run this command
    ipconfig /release
    // ...wait for atleast a minute, then
    ipconfig /renew
    ----------------------------------------------

    or...

    2.)
    ----------------------------------------------
    // clear your browser cookies.
    // run COMMAND PROMPT
    start >> run >> cmd.exe
    // Run the following simple command
    ipconfig /release
    // Shutdown your PC and UNPLUG everything including your cable/dsl modem and wait for atleast a minute.
    // boot your machine and your winXP will automatically RENEW your IP
    ----------------------------------------------

    //hopefully, these will result in an IP change!
    //check your IP again http://www.whatismyip.com/
    //if your IP changes, you can continue your downloads from Rapidshare.

    NOTE: for dynamically assigned IP address only! check your ISP!

    or download...

    ----------------------------------------------
    CryptLoad (free to download!)

    Free users (users who are using the file-hosting-service for free) normally have to type in some characters from a image. CL has a image-recognition-interface, so that it types in the characters for the user.

    The wait-time can be shorten by simple reconnecting to the internet-service-provider. CL does that for you. This only works if you get a dynamic IP-address.
    ----------------------------------------------

    if it doesn't work on your machine please don't ask me why :)
    use at your own risk! enjoy! ;)

    I'm sure that would be against the rules and ToCs with rapid share.

    This seems like an enormous waste of time to bypass the limits. In addition, if you have a broadband router, that's another thing you have to restart, as well as the broadband modem. Finally, for most ISP's, that will usually give you the same IP address unless you wait for IP lease to expire for your modem.

    Since this is also covered by the TSG Rules policies about not offering hacks or bypassing legal restrictions, it's closed.

    Please do not post such "information" here in the future.
