WinRar opens .RAR files. What error do you get trying to open the file with WinRar?

if happen to receive more than one file rar.001,002,003 etc. i think i have to put them all together using HJSplit to make them become one, that is where i have problems.

The .rar archiver (WinRar or other) can automatically put the pieces together for a multi-part archive. Put all the parts in the same folder and extract the first file (usually just .rar) and it will automatically find the other parts. No need for HJSplit. If you get an error, either you are missing parts or one is corrupt.
