What are the basic procedures of re-installing the ME operating system?

    - From a boot disc?
    - Or entering setup at boot up from C: ?

    - If entering setup at boot up, how do I get to the setup screen?

    - Will I lose stuff like Word 2000 when I do this?

If you can get to a C:\> prompt(with or without a boot disk), type in setup, then press Enter.

Does the computer still boot to Windows? If it does, just insert and activate the CD, then follow the instructions from there. Make sure no antivirus program is running in the background before you start.

Reinstalling Windows will not cause your other programs and files to be lost.
