re-installing windows 98 second edition

    Hey People
    Creole Again

    Went out and bought windows 98 second edition to reinstall on 390E thinkpad laptop.Put in boot disk and all I get is a cursor after computer starts up.

    Is it a boot disc you made in Win98 or the one that came with Windows? You might download a Win98 boot disc from here and put it on a floppy: http://www.bootdisk.com

    It seems to be booting to the floppy so there is no need to reset the sequence in the BIOS. It seems the boot disc just isn’t right.
