My hard drive is equally split between the C & D drive. I don't use D at all but am running out of space on C. All of the other posts on this subject I've found say I need to download software to help repartition these drives.

Can I do this without additional software when there is nothing in D? If so, how? I'm not techy, so I need easy steps to follow. I'm running XP. Thanks so much for your help!

XP can't do this, you will have to use additional software.

This is free and will do what you want :- http://www.partition-tool.com/download.htm

Get the top (free) one and use the 'resize' function to extend C to the right to fill the drive.
