Hi, I have a Acer Aspire 3680 laptop. It was running Vista Home Basic and I wanted to go back to XP.
I get a disk for XP Pro SP2 I install it up to the part where I log in it asks for a password.
So I use my XP Pro Corp SP1 disk and I am currently stuck on the same bit again.
    What i've tried:
I have typed in as password administrator.
I have used ctrl+alt+del solution . It did not work

    Can anyone please help?

    Regards,
    Kyle

If you didn't enter a password during the setup then there is no password, you just press Enter. Or did you setup a password during setup, but it is not being accepted?

If you didn't set a password, then you should just have to leave it blank. Can you provide a screenshot of what you are getting?

I'm picking up an Acer Aspire 3680 laptop from a nurse today to work on over the holiday weekend. It came with Vista Basic, and she wants it wiped out and XP Home Edition SP3 installed. I'll get back to you in a few days and let you know if I ran into any problems, including your password glitch.
