Hello all, I just signed up just for this.

A few hours ago, my monitor went static for at least a second. Afterwards, it ended up messing my monitor settings. Now it's all stretched out and no longer even. For the past few hours I tried manually fixing it back with the buttons on the monitor, but with no luck. So I was wondering if anyone would offer some tips or hopefully, a way to at least make it back to default. By the way, it's hard to read things on the corner. Thank you all and hope to hear a reply soon.

If it is a CRT tube type,it sounds like a capacitor blew
    out in the power supply.
    Time for a new one?

It is indeed a CRT tube. And the monitor seems to be fine except for the stretching problem.
