After a HD crash (lost everything on it) and replacement by the Tech where I bought the comp about 3 years ago, I downloaded RealPlayer 8 (Basic) since it was the version I'd used before the crash from their page which has older versions of the program.
Here's the problem: On one site it will play maybe 1 or 2 seconds of a tune then quit, or on 2 other music sites I go to it will play tunes randomly --- that is, I click on one tune & get maybe a second or so, but whin I click on another tune on the same page it will play.

The Tech said he updated some drivers but didn't specify which though, so am wondering if perhaps this is causing problem?

Another thing I get too, is message from RealAudio saying Version 8 is no longer supported & please upgrade -- took a look at Version 10, & found it would take 5+ hours to download with 56K. modem.

Any ideas on what I can do to get 8 to play will be appreciated -- one of my favorites has about 3,000 RealAudio files.

Welllll .... since good ol' Windows Media Player will NOT play RealAudio files, and since my favorite music sites are RealPlayer ONLY, it would be nice if I could get it to run... :)
