Okay, when i try to play a .avi on realplayer, it starts to load and then "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvience" box comes up. i also just noticed this also happens even when i right click on the file (i wanted to go to properties to see if it really was an .avi). I have all the codecs, and other real player files work normally.

here's the specifics of the problem:
    AppName: explorer.exe
    AppVer: 6.0.2990.2180
ModName: xvid.ax (i do have the xvid codec and other xvid files work fine)
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0
    Offset: 0003d928

I have XP, and its realplayer 10, if that helps. Thanks so so much for the help!
