    Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2
    OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64 bit
    Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3800+, AMD64 Family 15 Model 95 Stepping 2
    Processor Count: 1
    RAM: 2559 Mb
    Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE, 64 Mb
    Hard Drives: C: Total - 131061 MB, Free - 62528 MB;
    Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd., M61PM-S2
    Antivirus: AVG AntiVirus Free Edition 2015, Updated and Enabled

    Have Sweex 2.1 speakers - woofer is fine but no freaking hi end keys. Realtek won't recognize a 2.1 - only a stereo / 5.1 or surround - whaaaat happened?? The sound was once so very perfect but the software changed at some point - from a very accessible green console with innumerable options to this crap I am now stuck with - won't recognise a woofer and 2 - I feel like Realtek should stick an icepick in its registry.

    Any advice would be welcome

    The computer spec shown here on this topic is with exception of the version of AVG and other slight changes due to the OS now being 64 bit, the same computer spec as shown on an earlier topic, when you were running XP

    Copy and paste from earlier topic

    Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2
    OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3, 32 bit
    Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3800+, x86 Family 15 Model 95 Stepping 2
    Processor Count: 1
    RAM: 2559 Mb
    Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE, 256 Mb
    Hard Drives: C: Total - 131061 MB, Free - 113961 MB;
    Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd., M61PM-S2
    Antivirus: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2013, Updated: Yes, On-Demand Scanner: Enabled

    Before proceeding to attempt, finding the cause of the problem with the Realtek sound configuration please follow the guide below and post the requested results

    Please run the MGA Diagnostic Tool and post back the report it creates:

    • Download MGADiag to your desktop.
    • Double-click on MGADiag.exe to launch the program
    • Click "Continue"
    • Ensure that the "Windows" tab is selected (it should be by default).
    • Click the "Copy" button to copy the MGA Diagnostic Report to the Windows clipboard.
    • Paste the MGA Diagnostic Report back here in your next reply.

    As you've been told in the past with your XP machine we don't assist with pirated software. Therefore I'm closing this thread.
