As soon as I turn on my pc it brings up a black screen that says “Reboot and Selct proper Boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key”. Any help?

Was your computer working properly earlier? If so I suspect that you have a SATA hard drive or SSD and that the data cable to that drive has become disconnected from the drive end or the motherboard SATA port.

OR said drive's power connection from the PSU has become disconnected at the drive' s power input.

Check your system drive's cables and ensure that they're not loose or disconnected.

Then have you installed an operating system such as Windows? The message indicates that the machine is working but has nothing to boot from.

Have you made installation media? A >6GB USB thumb drive is a good tool for creating this on.

Are you saying you know how to build a computer, but you don't know how to install a Windows operating system in it?

Do you have a Windows operating system to install in it?

I'm assuming you want to install Windows 10 Home 64-bit or Windows 10 Pro 64-bit in your newly-built computer.

You will need to purchase it, then you will need to have someone install and set it up if you don't know how to do it yourself.

He can install it and set it up himself: The video is pretty comprehensive.

Windows 10 64-bit Pro or Home can be used indefinitely in trial mode prior to activation. Purchase it after installing it and setting it up.

    Sharron:

If he's able to use the Media Creation Tool to create a bootable USB thumb drive, and if he's able to install Windows 10 in his computer, he can't use Windows 10 in trial mode indefinitely.

Without Windows 10 being activated, numerous features and settings are disabled, so that's one main problem with using it in trial mode.

    I didn't watch that video because it's 65 minutes long, so I can't confirm what's in it.
