    Hi,
I have had my computer since Christmas, It has been working fine. Then I went on this morning as normal as can be, everything was booting up and I opened steam but it said no connection. Then a blue screen appeared and said something like" search DHP watchdog violation" then the screen went black but displayed the text "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"
I have no idea what to do and I need help. I searched this on tech guy and I tried to boot it with my CD/DVD Drive off which is what I saw worked on another persons thread but to no avail. Please help, also I use windows 8.

The "DHP watchdog violation" could be caused by any number of things, typically within the OS. Which is a non-issue now since the PC won't boot.

What error do you get now when you try to boot? If it's the same or similar to "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key", then it sounds like the HDD (which is the primary boot device) cannot be found. Which typically indicates a HDD failure, but could also be just a loose/faulty data or power cable.

Enter the BIOS and verify if HDD is recognized properly, and if so, verify the boot order.
