I had a few blue screens in the past month. Windows 7 OS, Recently when I booted up my PC, it showed the Recovery Page (restart in Safe Mode) (restart in Safe Mode with Networking) (restart normal) etc. When selecting any choice, it looks like it is restarting but takes me back to the same screen menu! Cannot get Windows started.
I ordered a complete restore set of disks and followed the procedures to restore back to factory but when it finishes, it reboots to that same menu screen again!
Only get the one beep when starting.
Assuming getting past Bios. I reset the memory in slot, fan working fine. Removed all external devices except the monitor and still the same thing! If I go through the whole restore process (copying files) and it reboots, could that still be an issue with HD maybe? It is a Gateway Desktop three years old. Out of warranty.
    Any thoughts?

    What did those say?
It could be bad RAM, motherboard, or hard drive.
resetting doesn't help if you have a stick that is failing. Did you test the RAM?

I cannot get out of that recovery screen. While re-booting, is there a way to get myself to do this?

If the memory or HD are bad, would it have allowed me to go through all 4 recovery discs (copying files) as it did?
