After a recent hard drive problem on a Gateway machine, i reinstalled Windows ME on a brand new 40gb HDD. The only problem is when i try to install anything, or copy stuff onto hard drive the computer restarts. I've tried different ram, so that's no the problem. Any ideas?

need to check whether its a HD problem or an issue with another hardware device failing, or the PSU failing.

When installing the ME os try to do so with the minumim hardware connected and then add each hardware piece in separately.
