    Hi all,

I have a Lenovo ThinkStation S20 with an Intel Xeon Six Core X5650 and support Gen 2 SATA drives. I want to upgrade to a SSD drive, but don't know which one to buy. Which one do you recommend? Thanks in advance.

I forgot, my budget is $200 max. And I value speed over disk space. :D

If you can extend your budget by $10, I personally plan on buying this one when I get the money.

Thanks guys, both SSDs have gotten rave reviews, but Samsung's 10 year warranty is amazing!

Another question, my motherboard supports SATA II only, I wonder if I should get 2x128GB SSD drives for around $100 each and set up a RAID 1 to get better read/write speed? What do you think?

I personally am not a fan of RAID configurations under most circumstances, but if you need the performance of SSDs in RAID then go for it.

I suppose you could look for Sata II SSD's only but I doubt you'd save much money and you would lose out if you upgraded to a Sata III capable computer later on.

As for Raid I'm not a fan either, this last page of an article sums up the single v raid question well :-

The Samsung 850 Pro SSD is definitely recommended!
