    hie guys
was wondering which laptop should be use???
purpose of laptop is mainly for Uni Work(i have a desktop at home), preferably light weight with 13" screen.
i was thinking of HP DV3540TX but after i look at the real model, it seems a bit bulky.

    any more recommendation please......

what about Asus F6H. it looks quite good tho...

what in your opinion would you recommend?
    screen size ard 12-13"
    4gb RAM
mainly for uni work, no games

price will b the last factor to put into account.

    sorry
    i think you miss understood

    you wrote

    and i said

I did not say it was good anywhere - just pointed to the website

Now I have 4 toshiba's and they are fine
    I also have
Acer, HP etc and they are all ok too

4GB of memory cannot be used with 32Bit software, it will on see just over 3GB (3.2gb) its because it needs to allocate memory to internal areas, such as PCI bus etc

now with 64 bit you could see all the 4GB

so dont pay over the top JUST because it has 4GB, there are a lot of machines with 3GB

consider things like how many USB connections it has,
some have a built in webcam
    some have bluetooth
some have firewire - for video cameras etc

you need to decide on what you need to be able to use

the last laptops I purchased for , son (Oct08), daughter (in Sep 08) and other half (Oct08) was Toshiba's

they where on special offer, via Amazon & Staples for £425
My son wanted lots of USBs & Firewire - this one had 4
My Wife wanted, a webcam included
My Daughter wanted it all for £400

I would not get less than 3GB
I'm not worried about the size of the harddrive as we always have an external drive(s) for backups and storage
