Recommendation?

Hope this is the right place to ask this, but we're looking for a recommendation for a database that we can use to store client information and for mail merging etc. We have been using ACT up until now, but are becoming increasingly frustrated with it and are looking for a decent alternative. The essentials are that it is able to mail merge into word/excel/outlook.

All suggestions welcome!

Since you are already using Word and Excel, why not use Access.
