The most important thing is the pass-through USB, which that one has. There are some that have extra USB ports, so if you needed that, then I would go with that. I don't think the fans really do much, but certainly don't hurt--just having it elevated is the most important thing.

    Dimensions: 300 x 262 x 20mm

What is that in real measurement :D

Remember, 17" laptop screen here, I don't want any tipping ;)

Candy, the cooler you linked is the largest one that I could find.

    Is yours a widescreen 17"?

A wide screen? Heck, all I know is that a tape measure across my entire screen reads a shade over 16 1/4...It's a Toshiba Satellite P35 S6112.

I hate to say that price is no object....but, I just want one that won't have me tipping off the sides of it when I type. If I have to pay $50, that is fine. I don't think I have a HUGE overheating problem...but, I put my TV tuner card in today, and after running for a half hour or so, my system shut down. I took the TV tuner card out and it was HOT...hotter than I think it should be for a PCMCIA card ;)

Yeah, I love it....but, then sometimes I hate it :D

    My desktop replacement :D

And just to be sure, the screen I measured is outside case to outside case...not the viewing screen :D
