I'm currently running my OS on a RAID 0 comprised of 3 (old) WD Raptors (10K RPM, 74 GB). I'm looking to make an upgrade to this, and wanting to do a RAID 0 out of 2 SSD's
I've read several articles on this, as well as reviews of several SSDs for the task. I'm leaning towards 2 OCZ drives (OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G), if I go thru wiht the RAID 0 approach.
Obviously I am going for speed and not redundancy. The 2 60GB drives would support the OS and I'd put programs and data on the 1TB drive I am already using for this purpose.
What are your suggestions (regarding the RAID idea AND which dirves to get)?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/input. And if I am really wasting time on RAIDing SSDs and you have a better solution (ie, 1 faster SSD), I'd love to hear about it.
