My PlayStation 3 is connected to my TV via HDMI cable and I was wondering rather then buying some HD recorder is there a way for me to record game play with my laptop? (This is with my friend, I don't own a laptop and my ps3 isn't connected to a TV but a monitor)

you could prob use a usb capture device, but it wont record in HD i dont think. i think you also need to have the usb 2.0 ports and i hope your computer is pretty quick because the frames might skip around and the sound might studder. but other than that it should work. this Dazzle thing seems to be the way most gamers go to record their games
