I need to recover a Word document. I have auto-save on my computer but I so not find an earlier version. I accidentally saved over the old document. However, both the original document and the new saved one were in my USB. Is there any way I can recover my file? Please help and thank you in advance

can you explain a little more - if the original is on the usb , why not copy it on the PC in a different folder and rename it

The original document was saved on USB. I opened it up to type over it, intending to change the file name when I saved it. However, I accidentally saved those changes on the file on my USB. Is there a way I can restore the document before I made the changes?
