Hi guys, I've deleted the wrong user account on my XP machine. I'd like to recover from this by either recovering the user account or running restore, but I can't even sign on to do anything.
Can anyone give a solution or how to boot in safe mode.

Thanks Dave, I just tried administrator but it did'nt work.
I had administrator as user name and also as both.
I got an error message "Unable to log on because of an account restriction"
    Any other clues?

Thanks Mike, that did the tick of at least being able to sign on. Now all I need to know is how to recover the original account that got deleted by mistake. Any ideas

Hello again folks, an update on my hiccup.
I managed to sign-on and also managed to recover all of the data.
I've moved it to where my new sign-on now shows the new sign-on name (Using windows explorer).
I now have the problem of getting rid of directories that I no longer want and was created by my system. When I try I get a massage telling me I can't delete this directory.
    Any ideas folks?
