Sony Computer - Windows Xp Home Edition - No recover disk, the computer has a built-in recover thingy
I tried "reformatting" my computer, drive C.
and when it was reformating or whatever it said I had a missing file.
So my friend gave me his disc which was Windows Xp Professional (he told me it was better) and it worked and everything. But it had like no programs I could use and my Drive D still had all my stuff from before. But I couldn't use any of them. When i tried installing my internet it said it couldn't tell what kinda computer I have and none of the stuff worked. It even said I didn't have a soundcard. So I reformatted it again using Windows Xp Home edition, but my cd key didn't work. And now I don't know what to do.... How do i get my computer back with all the programs I had when I first got my computer??? HELP! =)
    thanks x0x

Are you saying it has a recovery partition that you can use to do a system restore ? If so why not use it ?

Buying at a store is not likely, unless you know someone with a sony system who may have them, or like I said purchase an XP license online and go from there..
