Your computer appears to be a HP/Compaq model, and it appears to have an ASUS A8N-LA(Nagami2L) motherboard. If it does, it supports up to 4096 MB(4 GB) of RAM and uses DDR PC2700 or DDR PC3200 modules.

What's the brand name, model name, and model number of your computer? If you don't know for sure, advise what the product number(P/N) and model number(M/N) on the sticker is.

Your TSG System Info Utility is showing 446 MB of RAM, so it's my guess your computer currently has 512 MB in it. You need to increase it to at least 1024 MB(1 GB) and preferably to 2048 MB(2 GB).

    -------------------------------------------------------

Start HiJackThis, but don't run a scan.

Click on the "Open The Misc Tools Section" button.

Click on the "Open Uninstall Manager" button.

Click on the "Save List" button.

    Save the "uninstall_list.txt" file somewhere.

    It'll then open in Notepad.

Return here to your thread, then copy-and-paste the entire file here.

    -------------------------------------------------------

Click Start - Run, then type in

    %temp%

    then click OK.

Click Start - Run, then type in

    c:\windows\temp

    then click OK.

Once those 2 temp folders appear and you can view their contents, select and delete EVERYTHING that's inside them.

If a few files resist being deleted, that's normal behavior. Leave them alone and delete EVERYTHING else.

After you're done, restart the computer.

Brand Name is Compaq Presario;Product #EX306AA-ABA; and it says Name: SR1903WM

I am not clear as to what 'folders' to delete in the final thing you gave me to do, for in the things I put in 'run' I get in one, there are 2 folders and some other things and one with the little gears like on it and the other one has one file folder and some kind of text document and a DAT file with a media like Icon. I don't understand if you want me to delete these just 'FOLDERS' THAT ARE THERE OR everything that has come up. I am not clear and don't want to mess it up, for one is a .dll file. Can you tell me for I am a basic dummy. I rather be really clear than sorry. One 'FOLDER' is _avast_ and one is GOOGLE TOOLBAR, and the second run the ONLY 'FOLDER' is '_avast_' and like i said, both have more things in there besides the 'FOLDERS'. I hope I have not confused you. Thanks. Let me know if I just have to open those 3 FOLDERS and delete insides. One has nothing in it.

Typing in %temp% in the "Run" box should bring up the C:\Documents And Settings\(Username)\Local Settings\Temp folder.

Typing in c:\windows\temp in the "Run" box should bring up the C:\Windows\Temp folder.

It's safe to delete everything that's inside those 2 temp folders.

Here is the support site for the Compaq Presario SR1903WM desktop. You should add and save this site in your browser favorites/bookmarks list so you can readily refer to it when needed.

According to its product specifications section, it came with only 512 MB of RAM. It supports up to 4096 MB(4 GB) of RAM and uses DDR PC3200 modules. You should increase the amount of RAM to at least 1024 MB(1 GB) and preferably 2048 MB(2 GB). Adding more RAM is the best and most cost-effective way of improving speed and performance.

Go to Control Panel - Add Or Remove Programs, then uninstall/remove:

    Spybot - Search & Destroy

then restart your computer, whether you're prompted to or not.

    -----------------------------------------------------

    Start Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

Click "Updates(tab) - Check for Updates".

When the definition files have updated, click "OK".

Click "Scanner(tab) - Perform quick scan - Scan".

If infections or problems are found during the scan, the number of them will be highlighted in red.

When the scan is finished, click "Show Results".

Make sure that EVERYTHING is selected, then click "Remove Selected".

If you're prompted to restart to finish the removal process, click "Yes".

    Start Malwarebytes Anti-Malware again.

    Click "Logs"(tab).

Highlight the scan log entry, then click "Open".

When the scan log appears in Notepad, copy-and-paste it here.

    -----------------------------------------------------

    Start SUPERAntiSpyware.

    Click "Check for Updates".

When the definition files have updated, click "Close".

Select the Quick Scan option, then click "Scan your Computer".

If infections or problems are found during the scan, a list will appear and the number of them will be highlighted in red.

When the scan is finished and the scan summary window appears, click "Continue".

Make sure that EVERYTHING in the list is selected, then click "Remove Threats".

    Click "OK - Finish".

If you're prompted to restart to finish the removal process, do so.

    Start SUPERAntiSpyware again.

    Click "View Scan Logs".

Highlight the scan log entry, then click "View Selected Log".

When the scan log appears in Notepad, copy-and-paste it here.

I think I have not been clear to you. First, in doing the run thing again, NONE of what you said comes up; what I told you comes up. I had no speed problems until this redirect and the waiting for about:blank mess started, and all sorts of things run across the bottom and ALL my scans are clean. My everything is updated with the most recent available updates, I scanned yesterday and my scans are clean. I have to update my Malwarebytes and scan today, but I keep my cookies and browser cleaned out and temp files. I am infected with something. When I started this and was unable to finish it months ago with Techguy, I ran and sent all the Hijack this, DDS, and whatever else I was supposed to and was told to run Combo Fix and then resubmit. My printer was out of commission and I could not print the info on combo fix to make sure I didn't mess it up and then I got sick. I have scanned everything within the last 2 days but Malware bytes, as I said with updated scans, and they are CLEAN. I think I am unable to get across to you my problem. As stated, nothing you said that would show up in the 'run' actions are showing up. And when there is nothing in the scans you cannot remove anything. I had a PUPS show up and it is quarantined in AVAST when I did a boot scan the other day.
I think either I am confused in what I am trying to explain or something else is happening.

I would like to know what the things on the Hijack this log with the redirect on them are.

I don't think I told you that my computer freezes; I have hung apps, and my pages continually reload and this stuff goes across the bottom where it shows the page and when it is done; the stuff that is in my search bar is strange and I have to wait till task manager loads to be able to end my iexplore to even move out of pages. Like I said, all is clean and I had no problem with speed or anything like this till the about blank thing and the redirects. It is just a mess. Thank you.
