I'm going to come out straight forward and yes I'm a student and yes I need homework help.
I need help understanding why I would need redundant links and help understanding replication schedule/frequency? Please let me know if more information is needed seeing as how this is all new to me and well I don't really get it.

In a specific context? Or is that just a general question--if redundant links are needed why would they be needed?

Basically the scenario is a company with an existing AD forest is adding two new branch offices. I've tried to google redundant links I've looked through my school books and I can't find anything that clearly gives me an explanation of how redundant links work or an example.
