I recently had to re-install Windows 98 SE. Now, my display opyions are limited. I used to have 16 bit color and 800X600 resolution, now I can only get 16 color, 640X480 or 2 color, 640X480.......

    Can I fix this? How?

    Welcome to the board.

You have to install your video card driver. If you don’t have the driver on CD you will have to find out what video card you have and download the driver from the manufacturer’s site.

Right click My Computer>Properties>Device Manager. Double left click Display adapters and double click your video card. Select the driver tab and select “Update driver”. Direct the driver install to either the driver you downloaded or the one on the CD.

You might be lucky enough to have the CD auto-run when you install it and do it all for you, but you will most likely have to direct the driver install yourself.
