I'm currently posting from a refurbished lenovo M82 small form factor, I5 with Win7 Pro that I bought recently from Newegg for $130 on sale.
However, I'm booting up a Linux distro instead, even though the Win7 it came with is a fresh install that works perfectly.

    Buy from a reputable source.

    I'm satisfied.

I will say, you have to watch the ads for that kind of deal, but they do happen.

Of course, it's wise to test them to make sure they run correctly.
Stress and memory tests are a good idea. Check the hard drive SMART data, too.

    I like HP and Lenovo.

    edit: I'd also add Acer.

Dells are supposed to be good.

The very last new computer that I bought was in 2008 and was a HP Pavilion minitower.
Since 2011, I've bought nothing but refurbished Dell OptiPlex minitowers.
The www.newegg.com site is where I've bought most of them.
The Dell OptiPlex 7010 and 9020 models are what I'm partial to.

Congratulations on the purchase of your refurbished Dell OptiPlex 790.
Which Intel Core i3 processor does it have?
You should add another 4 GB of RAM to it.
