I am unable to enter "regedit" through windows start/run/regedit. Earlier today, I kept receiving this message: "Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly." This would pop up when I tried to open "My Computer", "My Documents", and most other programs. I reset the security controls to "medium" from "high". This allowed me to enter into simple programs in my PC such as "My Computer".

Now, when I try to enter "regedit", it pops up for a couple of seconds, then disappears.

    Please help.
