Probably under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook, but what would you need to do there??

Thanks TK
I have Outlook 98 on my old PC and want to bring it to the new one. I can't find a place to download it anymore. Microsoft took it off thier site. I figure if I stand a chance I have to bring everything with it. First set my HD from the old PC as a slave to the new PC. Copy and paste Outlook from the old to the new then unhook. Next everytime I click on Outlook it will say there is a .dll missing. SO I need to find them and bring them all over to the new PC. I have done this with a number of less complex programs but am having problems with Outlook. I thought I would see if I need to bring the reg key over with it.
Jus ta thought but I have used Outlook for a few years and really like the way it is set up.

Hi Dutch,

You can't do it like that.
Office is extremely complex, and has its tentacles all over your registry.
You can't just copy the Outlook key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, and hope to duplicate it that way.

Would you have an easier way? Maybe know where I can find it on a CD. I downloaded it from the net and it is discontinued.

You downloaded Outlook 98 without paying any money for it? I wasn't aware it was ever free. If you paid for it, contact Microsoft and tell them you lost your media. If you didn't pay for it, you'll have to buy a copy somewhere.

Yes , I downloaded Outlook 98 FOR FREE from Microsoft site a few moons ago. Trouble is since they put the new Outlook in service they discontinued the download site. Buying it would be no problem but I have not been able to find it anywhere.
If you know of a place let me know.

Outlook 98 was offered for free for a period of three months a while back. It is no longer so.
