regsvr32 urlmon.dll

    Can someone explain to me what this is? and what it does?
    I believe this can be actioned if say when selecting hyperlinks in a browser and nothing happens???

    In relatively simple terms, regsvr32 registers dll files as command components in the registry

    urlmon.dll is utilised by Internet Explorer, and contains functions used by Microsoft OLE (Object Linking and Embedding)

    So what you are doing is re-registering this dll in the registry

    In many respects, this particular Dynamic Link Library file is possibly one of the most important files in Windows, and a few faults can be repaired by re-registering it
