I can't remember how to reinstall Windows over itself using CAB files without wiping out all the customized settings on the Windows desktop.

While booted only in DOS I know to go to C:/windows/options/cabs and type "setup" There is a switch to follow it but I can't rember what it is.

    Can anyone help?

As far as I know there is no switch needed in DOS. Just 3 days ago I reformatted and installed OS from cabs on another partition using "setup" only.
