I need to reinstall microsoft office 2000
when I try to do so I get the following error message

    Program Not Found
Windows cannot find setup.exe. This program is needed for opening files of type 'File'
Can you please tell me where I can find setup.exe and how I should use it to open microsoft office 2000
    Thanks

does the cd not autoplay when you enter it? And I am assuming this is a microsoft disk? Does it happen before or after you enter the product key?

The two disks I have came with my dell computer They are Microsoft Office 2000 SR1, SR2
I placed the SR1 disk in the cd rom slot; tried to opened the file with windows explorer and then got the error message
regarding not being able to find setup.exe

If it doesn't say with or /w then those are just service packs. You need the program reinstallation disk. You may have gotten an OEM copy, which means you may be out of luck. :)
