In 2009 I bought a Dell XPS 8000. It was going slow, so this morning I reinstalled windows 7 home proffessional. It all loaded fine but when I tried to find my wireless adapter in my devices. It was not there, tried to install the driver from driver dvd, but it said there was no hardware, extremley frustrated and any help will be appreciated!

Is the wireless button turned on?

Check the bios, see if it might be disabled in there.
