I reformatted my hard drives because a virus ruined them. I want to reinstall
my Windows Me. This is a second computer in my home, an old one. The manufacturer no longer exists. I have upgraded from the original Windows 98 to Windows 98SE and then to Windows Me. I have found only one product key in my records, and this one came with the computer (it has OEM in the numbers). When I try to install Windows Me it asks for a product key. No longer in my possession. I tried to install Windows 98, but the product key I found does not fit the prompt. Is there any way to install the system without the key, or to get the key from MS.(I seem to remember I registered them). Help me please!

If this is the case you could contact micro$oft and they may be able to help you, you'll probably need serial numbers etc.
