When I go to Accessories and select Calculator or System Tools-Resource Meter or System Monitor or Communications-Phone Dialer or Games-Freecell or Hearts or Minesweeper or Solitaire and click the icon it takes me to Exploring C: I have reloaded Windows from the CD-ROM numerous times and still have the same problem. Monitoring the reload with Norton Systemworks and it tells me that the reload has been successful but when I go to check it's always the same. I have also loss the audio and have tried to reload from the CD-ROM as well as downloading online. Going into Device Manager it appears that it's there but I cannot get it to work. I would also normally have the speaker icon in the bottom right of the screen and that is absent. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am running out of ideas on my own.

Go to control panel, add remove programs, windows setup and ensure all of the accessories you want are checked. If not check them and add. You will need your windows cd .
If these things have worked before, remove them, reboot then add them.

    Good Luck

    rugrat,
Have done that until I'm blue in the face. It appears to load but the link takes me to exploring C. I'm on the road and when I get back to the hotel I'll try it again. Keep the ideas coming and I'm sure somwhere along the line we'll end up correcting this.

    Thanks
