Hi, my friend is trying to access a Win 7 computer from her XP pc through remote desktop. The remote computer is using a Netgear DGN2000 ADSL router with ATT DSL service. She says it works intermittently at all different days/times (naturally it fails when she needs it the most). I've found the same problem when I try to access the remote computer from my Win 7 machine; last night it was working, when I checked it just now it wasn't (i also tried to log into the router remotely and that failed as well). Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be and how we can fix it? Thanks!

Also, the remote computer is set to never sleep or hibernate.

First thing I would do is to make sure the router has the latest firmware and the Windows 7 computer has the latest network drivers.
