remove touch pad board

    I have this compaq v2000. The touch pad board had a burnt spot on it. So I need to replace it. If someone could let me know how you take out that board. I have the motherboard out. it looks like to me it is rivet plactic to the bottom case. The mamual doesn't tell me anything

    ...if you click on the REPORT button, on the lower right hand of your post, and then whem the next window opens up, request that a moderator move your thread to a forum where you will have a better chance for help(such as the "Hardware"Forum), since this forum is for hobbisits, and folks with questions about things besides computers.

    Good luck changing that touchpad..I dont like working on laptops, since my fingers are way to large to manuver the small parts!!:mad:
