I've handled virus removal/IT on Win 98/XP for years. Nephew got fooled by PI Security 2011 (six clients in last month got this one). But, he has Win 7 x64 on a netbook; I'm lost. System/registry files deny access even when logged on in his administrator account. I can't figure out how to disable/uninstall script blocker or CD emulation for DDS and GMER. Hoping my explanation and HJT log below will be enough for someone to help.

PIcd3_302 disabled Titanium Antivirus+, Window's Firewall/Defender and blocked access to major search engines. In safe mode, I downloaded SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and AVG Free. Found rogue av and cleaned - "no threats/infections found" on all three since Monday. Able to access Internet/all major search engines...BUT problems persist: 1) Can't open Titanium console using shortcuts on desktop, start menu or in Explorer. Click>permission message asking if allow it to run>yes>screen flashes, but doesn't open and no Titanium icon on Taskbar (thus AVG). For each click on shortcut, Task Manager has equal number of "shortcutlauncher.exe" processes. 2) In Taskbar Notification Behaviors, it still shows PIcd3_302.exe/Personal Internet Security 2011.

    Thanks for help!

Oops! I forgot. Per Trend Micro's support website, I also downloaded and ran FakeAV Remover prior to installing AVG Free. Wow - 37 views, but no replies. Okay, excuse my whining...I'll try to be patient ;) - but I really did think I should mention the other program I used to "remove" the rogue AV.

Happy New Year! Trend Micro was finally able to email me instructions to get the antivirus uninstalled and reinstalled. Plus, I somehow got the right wording on how to "clear past notification icons" and found instructions on addictivetips, howtogeek and a few other sites. All is clean and working correctly again.
