    OK,
I had a virus. I just upgraded the machine and had not installed norton yet. norton could not remove everything, so I tried a free AV called Avast. It caused my machine to lock up after boot. I thought I was doomed to reload the OS. Instead I installed to a new folder (window2) on my C: drive. I booted up from the clean install and removed both AVs. I then rebooted and I now have a duel boot XP system. The old install(which now is clean and works fine, and the new one) I want to remove the new folder along with the duel boot option. Help.

    running XP pro.

    TIA

Edit your BOOT.INI fil, and get rid of the one with the refrence to the WINDOW2 folder, and delete the WINDOW2 folder
