I'm sorry if this is in the wrong board. I wasn't sure of where to put it. I'm running Windows XP. And I was wondering how to remove the historys and typed things from the net. I've noticed lately that there has been a lot of porn sites in the history, and when I go to type things into google search a lot of porn stuff shows under the type box. If that made any sence. I'm not good at explaining things. This is a family computer. Everyone in the house uses it. But I'm the only one here with enough knowledge on computers to keep it in good shape. I'm the one who as to run the virus scans and ad-aware and stuff. They don't understand it. lol. But anyway. back to my questions. How do you romove all that? I've run all my ad and spywhere scanners. I've cleaned out my cookies, and temporary internet files. And there was something I got from a site a long while back. Dont remember where now. That was supposed to get rid of that stuff. But it only worked the one time and doesn't work now. So does anyone know?
My little cousin (whos 17) comes over from time to time to use my computer. And it's emarasing. I keep thinking He'll see all that. So if anyone knows how to get rid of all that. Can you please let me know? Thanks. :)

Also. Is there maybe some kind of program that can keep people from even going to those kinds of sites on my computer? Because it's really ticking me off that someone is doing this. I suspect my sisters boyfriend. But I could be wrong. lol. Anyway.. Even if nobody can help. Thanks for reading this. :)

Sounds like you might have some spyware if you cannot delete everything. I would suggest 2 things.
First, go here to read about and download Ccleaner. Freeware. Carefully choose the items you want fixed. Be sure to choose index.dat. Those will be deleted on your next boot-up. Then new ones will be created by Internet Explorer. See if that solves your problems.

The 2nd item, post a Hijack This Log. Download from here.
Make a folder for it. It is not zipped, so you can just run it.

http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe

Close all open windows and run Hijack This. Click 'Do a system scan and save a logfile.' Copy the entire log in notepad and paste it here. Do not fix anything yet because most items are normal or needed. Hopefully someone here will analyze the log.
