this is my first time opening an iPhone - to install a new battery.
The suction cup provided does not seem to hold with the liquid glass screen protector. Is there a way to remove the screen without removing the glass? If not, how do I remove the glass?

This is not the type of assistance we want to give. It's the same as saying Google it. If there is a YouTube video then perhaps pointing them to it would be more helpful?

This requires additional equipment and supplies which are not cheap. I would just recommend for you to send it to be repaired. Get a quote before doing so.
There may be other methods but you will be doing it under your own risk.
