removing the recycle bin

    is there a way to get the recycle bin off of the desktop in XP?

    TweakUI will do it. Get it here.

    Double-click on "desktop" and uncheck them unwanted icons.

    Or....right click on desktop>Properties>Desktop, the Customize Desktop button, should be right there.

    Good grief, that's the second or third brainfart I've had today....and it's only 1pm here....

    looks like it's gonna be one of those days! sheesh!

    You can also just hide ALL icons if you wish, by right clicking and going hide desktop icons. That was how i had to do it, Pre-finding tweakui.
