How do you remove unneeded uninstall data in XP like 'service packs' uninstall folders so I can recover some hard drive space? I found a KB(290402) article but it was for Win2000 not XP. Are all uninstall folders Ok to delete?
    thanks-Karen

I deleted them on XP Pro with no bad effects, saves a lot of space on my rather small HD. But why don't you just put them in recycle bin for a while until you're sure all is ok.

I saved the items to a disk then deleted them. some were several MB in size. I had 35 of them! Did not notice a change in my hard drive space, however. Found this odd.:(
