Hi, I am helping a friend who would like to reorganize her Thunderbird email folders to make more sense. She had various folders on the server and saved locally, and wants to consolidate them. We reviewed her emails and agreed on a folder list that makes sense, and I've created those on the server. However, I'm having trouble moving all of the locally save emails to the new folders.

Part of the problem is that she relies in DSL, so the process is unbearable slow and easily interrupted. I am wondering how I can best accomplish this. Can I take her account offline, save everything, then reorganize it, and upload the new folder structure? Would it be better to convince her to come to my location, sign in on my laptop, and do the moves in real time via decent broadband?

She has a desktop box with Windows 10. I have FIOS internet, a Macbook, and a Windows 10 PC. She is an 85 year old music arranger and former actor on a Sreen Actors Guild retirement, so hardware changes would be difficult.

    Thanks for any advice.
