Repairing Windows xp blue screen help

Hello. I am trying to repair my old xp which has bluescreen. I am lucky enough to have my windows xp installation disk. Problem is i cant get the computer to want to boot from the cd drive. I have 3 options: 1st floppy disk, sm-hewlett-pack and pm-samsung sv04.please help

By using the OS disc and doing a [format] you will not solve the pblm. The pblm is a hardware pblm

On the boot menu i am able to select flash drive to boot. What do i need to put on the usb to boot with it?

usb is large enough. Has all the content of the disk ( 700mb). I get disk error when trying to boot. Usb is formated to fat
