Hello. My name Is Robert and as of recent(past 2-3weeks) I have been having a repeat problem where my system freezes up. What I mean by that is The screen will freeze as whatever was on the screen prior. The only thing to do is turn it off via the power button. I often can still hear the hard drive spinning, however I can not affect the computer in any way(Ctrl+Alt+Del, Esc, Alt+F4, etc.) The only thing I have found is I play World of Warcraft, and that often times it will freeze when or shortly after I run the game or Ventrilo(a voice chat program), However it will on occasion freeze up doing anything else. I don't know how related this is, but about a month ago I started seeing "out of virtual memory" errors while running WoW and ventrillo but no other backround programs, and my Virtual memory was set to "no paging file" as well. Shortly before I began having this freezing problem(three days or so), I set my virtual memory size to just above the system controlled size. I then set it back to "no paging file" after the problems began.

My computer is somewhat old, but it is only recently that I have had trouble with running WoW as I have been playing it for some time now(over a year) I don't know what to do.
I don't know if this is a malware issue, a hardware issue, or what. I have included a hijackthis log as well as a log from spy sweeper. My only recourse at this point is to buy a new PC, however I would not be able to afford one for a while, and am hoping someone can help me. You all seem very knowlegable. Thank you.

Well, I would hope not, as my video card is just over a year old. However, I just downloaded/installed the drivers for my card. How did you fix this problem? I'd like to know more about your situation

Trust me i been through a lot with this computer, well one day i turned off the computer manually to shut off my comp, and when i try to turn it back on, it didn't work, like it just say no signal on the monitor and i would see my computer lighted up, so yeah i didn't bother trying to fix it myself so i send it to the company i bought it from

www.ibuypower.com that company, and they fixed it up for free i had a warranty, and i realize that it was my motherboard they gave me a old one by "accident" i am never buying a comp from them ever again. So it got sent back and it works again, but i don't know if you have this problem but if you turn it on like after it's been completely shut off, like i turn mine on, like 2 mins later, it would lock up and freeze, and i restart the comp, and then it won't freeze anymore. I shut it off to go sleep and next morning i turn it on, i was just looking at my desktop for 2 mins and it froze again i did the same thing, i restarted it and it didn't freeze again, at the end i saw the pattern that was happening, so that night i kept my comp on, and i've kept it on for like a month or two straight, now when i shut it off and turn it back on, it doesn't freeze, very weird problem sorry you had to read that but yeah, maybe i got lucky

I'm getting the same problem when I run ventrilo. The thing is, I don't run ventrilo on the same computer that I run wow on. I have vent running on a laptop that I keep with me on the desk.

The only thing running on that computer are vent and internet explorer and I'm getting lock ups just like the ones you're desrcibing.
