So today I saw I had new updates to install, and I installed like I normally do, and everything went fine. Then I noticed out of the 7 that were installed, both the security updates (Net Framework 3.5.1 and KB2667402) failed to work, and since then, I have not been able to get them to install correctly

    What I've tried-v
    -Disabling User Account Control.
-Disabling Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware (Avast! and Spyware Terminator).
-Downloading the update directly from the Microsoft Website using a different installer.
-Running Microsoft Fixit and then trying to install them again.
-Virus Scanning. Found one corrupted file which, when removed, did not change the issue.
-Running Checkdisc for errors. This also did not change the issue.

It is worth mentioning that Avast! Found and removed a Java:bitcoin-A [Trj.] a few days ago, it could possibly be related to this?

Never had a problem like this before with Windows Updates, so I'm really confused as to what I can do.

It's possible that a virus or malware has changed your system and that is why the updates aren't working. Personally I would dump avast and the terminator, relace with MSE if your going free. You might want to check the your system files haven't been altered and are all present. Click start ---> run , then type cmd and hit enter. You will get the command prompt window. Type sfc /scannow and let that run, it will tell you and fix any missing corrupt, altered system files. If it fixes somthing retry the updates and let us know the result.
