I have an HP pavillion tx 1000 laptop with partial tablet funcionality. I use the tablet functions a lot. I want to know if I can destroy Vista and go back to XP and still be able to use the tablet functions of my laptop? If so, how would I go about that? Do I have to search for a specific update to XP for tablet functionality? Or is it built in to XP?

    Thank you

Vista and XP are not what controls that function i believe. There should be some software that came with the pc or is downloadable from the manufactures website that allows you do use this. So it shouldnt make any difference what one you use.

I would suggest making it a duel boot system for starters to test if it runs on XP or needs the software b4 making a final choice.

Note: You will need your vista CD after you install Windows XP so you can do a repair install with vista. If not you will not be able to boot into vista since you have to install them from oldest to newest so the boot file or something is right.
