I have read other posts and think that the problem with my clock ( stops when AC power is off) is related to the CMOS battery. How hard is it to replace this? Is there some where I can get directions that spell out what needs to be done? I have a HP pavillion XV799.

that round silver thing that is your battery. it cost about 3 or 4 dollars good luck.p.s. make sure the power if off and ground your self before touching any components just touch an unpainted part of your comp first just a precaution so you don't generte static.
