I was going to request my thread be closed in another forum by reporting it to the Moderators, as we used to do, but I read the blurb that is there now:
This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts.
and was wondering how we request that a thread be closed because it has been solved, or because it is a duplicate?

The thread I wanted to close is http://forums.techguy.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=276251

because it is a duplicate of eddie5659's thread at http://forums.techguy.org/showthread.php?threadid=58104

His was posted first, and I wanted mine to be closed.

You're right, Randy -- that's how you report it. I'll edit that warning line to reflect that as proper use as well. Thanks for pointing that out!
